After the Korean War, in a house tucked away in Newark, NJ, hides an unusual couple: Young Ja, a Korean woman, and Angelo Barone, a mafia man. Told through Young Ja's point of view, her fraying relationship with Angelo as well as her pregnancy is examined via flashbacks until it all breaks on a cold Christmas Eve.
